Last year we were able to introduce our new easy to use PPM-Control for Gravimetric Mixing Stations. The formal introduction was made during a meeting in Berlin in February 2001 and we would like to thank those who participated in this event.

In March 2001 the first four Gravimetric Mixing Stations with PPM-Control were installed in the USA at two different customers (Amphenol and Helix/HiTemp).A fifth line has recently been installed at Judd Wire in California.

Another success was the delivery of several Volumetric Mixing Stations to Weber and Cincinnati for the production of Plastic Lumber/Woodtrusion.

In May we participated at the WIRE Exhibition in Atlanta/USA. Although the business climate in the USA was already on a downward trend, it is remarkable that quite a number of interested customers visited our stand.

Of course, one of the biggest highlights this year was the K-2001 Exhibition in Düsseldorf during October 2001. Due to the ongoing recession our expectations were quite low but contrary to this, the results were very good. There was a very good response to our newly introduced Gravimetric Dosing Unit with PPM-Control. Also the other products shown, created quite some interest.

The OEM-Clients Troester and parts of Battenfeld, are offering PLASTICOLOR equipment as their standard.

Through BATTENFELD a total of three lines have been supplied for Thermoforming Sheet.

Kömmerling (part of HT Troplast Group)and being one of the biggest profile manufacturers worldwide, has ordered more than 70 PLASTICOLOR 3200 units for the controlled feedback of regrind material.

One of the world's largest Masterbatch Producers is presently considering our Gravimetric Equipment and a field test will be carried out by early 2002. The results will be made available at a later stage.

Through the OEM-Client Siebe, we have supplied a Gravimetric Mixing Station to Kabelwerk Eupen in Belgium. This Mixing Station is connected via Profibus to the Line-PLC.

AMOCO Germany has decided to place another order for our Gravimetric Mixing Station for their Fibre Optic Lines.

The complete manufacturing department of Leitungstechnik Ostbayern (part of Nexans Group) is now fully equipped with our Volumetric Mixing Stations.

UNILINE Austria, manufacturer of extrusion lines, has purchased two Gravimetric Throughput Measurement Systems which are being connected to extrusion lines and producing coating for fluorescent tubes. Furthermore, UNILINE decided to show a 3-fold Gravimetric Mixing Station with PPM-Control during the forthcoming Wire Exhibition in Düsseldorf (8th-12th April 2002). This line will be able to handle extremely small quantities (one additive with only 200 gr/hr.)

TROESTER, Hannover has completed this year the turnkey project of KFK in Poland. All seven lines have been equipped with PLASTICOLOR Components.

Of course, it goes without saying that the business with all other OEM Clients (like Nextrom, Maillefer, Rosendahl, SAMP, ITAL, Mapré, Davis-Standard) is also very active.

For PVC Highspeed Mixers we have supplied Gravimetric Dosing Equipment, which prepares a given quantity of material in a preset time.
